New and Improved 2007 Hunting Guides

Thursday, July 19, 2007

The 2007 Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide booklets have been printed and are being distributed to license agents across the state, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).

In addition to the hunting seasons, bag limits, and rules and regulations for fall and winter hunting, the 2007 hunting guide has been re-designed into a magazine type format with other useful articles pertaining to hunting and wildlife management.

This year, as in 2006, the guide also includes the 2008 Spring Turkey hunting regulations Also included in the guide are sections covering locations and regulations of TWRA wildlife management areas, public hunting areas and refuges. Other information, from locations of TWRA firing ranges to a section that covers common questions and answers about TWRA quota hunts, can also be found.

TWRA urges all hunters to pick up a guide and review it. Major changes for the 2007 seasons can be found on page 6 of the guide.

Hunters, traveling out of state for deer or elk, should read the section on page 10 about the new carcass importation laws in effect to stop the spread of chronic wasting disease.

The 2007 Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide will be available wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold and at all TWRA offices. A copy will soon be available that can be read and printed from the TWRA web site at www.tnwildlife.org.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (3)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ...
