CSO: Sing for the Cure

Nickel Creek Farewell (For Now) Tour

With special guest BELA FLECK. After 17 years as a band, acoustic string trio Nickel Creek announced that its 2007 tour would be their last, at least for now. Sean Watkins (guitar), his sister Sarah Watkins (violin) and Chris Thile (mandolin/banjo) have been performing together since they were pre-teens in 1989 and began developing a musical style hinging on influences from Alison Krauss to Edgar Meyer and Bela Fleck. Nickel Creek signed with Sugar Hill in 1998, and music fans around the country have enjoyed the group's eclectic mixture of traditional bluegrass and contemporary folk ever since.
