A man police say robbed two Chattanooga banks in two days was captured late Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators of the Chattanooga Special Investigations Unit along with the Safe Streets Task Force of the FBI took Jack Breneman, Jr., 46, into custody at 1212 Glenwood Dr.

Earlier Wednesday, police said Breneman robbed the SunTrust Bank at 7000 Lee Highway. He was known to be driving a 2001 Ford F150 black pickup truck.

Investigators began looking for him in this truck and spotted the truck parked at a residence at 1212 Glenwood Dr.

Chattanooga Police with the Chattanooga SWAT team made entry into the residence and took Breneman into custody without incident.

Investigators also recovered the Ford pickup truck, which police said was stolen out of Nashville.

Brenenman was to be taken to the local FBI office for processing and then transported to the Hamilton County Jail, where he will be held until his initial appearance at Federal Court.

Breneman will face two charges of bank robbery and auto theft.

Around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Chattanooga Police received a holdup alarm at the SunTrust Bank at 7000 Lee Highway.

Upon arrival police determined the suspect to be same suspect as Tuesday's bank robbery at Regions Bank at 5515 Brainerd Road.

According to the bank employees, the suspect entered the bank and told a teller he wanted the money. He did not produce a weapon. However, he indicated that he had a weapon in his possession.

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)

Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance. There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
