Police said a burglary trail at the Cypress Street Courts did not lead far - just next door.

Warrants were filed against Delisia Timmons in the theft of items from her next-door neighbor, Karessa Sanders.

Ms. Sanders said she got a call that her apartment door was open. She said she found that a screen had been damaged and a window was open.

She found that her washing machine, TV, air conditioning unit, a grill, dishes and some food were gone.

Ms. Sanders said neighbors told her she could find the stolen items next door. She said they advised that they saw Ms. Timmons and two others carrying out the washing machine.

Officers said the washing machine was in plain view in Ms. Timmons' residence and the stolen grill was out front.

Warrants were taken against Ms. Timmons for aggravated burglary, theft over $500 and vandalism.

A clerk at a store at 4300 Norcross Road said a white male came in and came behind the counter. She said when she opened the cash register, he grabbed some cash and ran out.

He was seen driving east on Ely Road in a red or maroon, two-door hatchback.

Janet King of Gundy Lane said she looked out and saw a white S-10 pickup pull up in her driveway. She said a white male got out and helped himself to three batteries that were in her garage.

She said two other white males were in the pickup.

The vehicle had letters TB and a third letter that Ms. King did not see clearly on it.

Officers got word of a "rolling disorder" on Interstate 24 westbound.

The report was that a balding white male was driving a silver Chrysler at a high rate of speed in and out of traffic and that he had a woman with him he had allegedly abducted.

Officers continued to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

Teacher Wendy A. Jung at Howard High School said she was hit when she got between two students who were fighting in a front hallway.

She said when she tried to separate the students, she was struck in the left arm by a female. Officer saw bruises on the teacher's arm.

The two students were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. They are charged with assaulting each other as well as the teacher.

Olga Jones of Lupton Drive said her husband, William Jones, woke up complaining of back pain. She said he became angry after tripping over the dog, and he started throwing things.

Mrs. Jones said she was eating cereal when he came from behind her and pulled out her ponytail holder and some of her hair. She said he pushed her around with his chest, then threw her against a wall and to the floor. She said he then began ripping off her shirt.

Mrs. Jones said it is the fourth time he has attacked her, but the first time she called police.

Warrants were taken against William Jones for domestic assault.

Bernardo Anellano said he was talking to four ladies on Westside Drive when a black male came up and asked if he "would like to do business."

He said he declined, and the man grabbed him and began choking him.

Then the man with the ladies took $600 from Mr. Anellano along with his cell phone.

Mr. Anellano said he began yelling and the four ladies left in a car with a white male.

He said he and friends followed the black male who had robbed him to a room in a nearby building. He said they left when the robber opened the door holding a bat in his hands.
