Tina Whalen Arrested For Theft In Bradley County

The Criminal Investigations Division of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tina L. Whalen, 28, for the theft of several items from her next-door neighbor.

Detectives responded to 116 Golf Drive to follow-up on an investigation by patrol officers. Ms. Whalen was identified as a suspect in the theft of a DVD player, clothing, a cell phone, and other items. Her address is 110 Golf Dr.

She is charged with aggravated burglary and theft under $500. After posting bail for both charges, Ms. Whalen was released from jail.


Another Truck Wrecks On Retro Hughes Road

Another truck wrecked Tuesday afternoon on Retro Hughes Road. A different truck wrecked last Thursday at the same curve. Both were headed to a site where a new hangar is being built.  The truck that wrecked on Tuesday was carrying the doors for the hangar.     (click for more)

County Commission Extends Terms Of Magistrates Randy Russell, Sharetta Smith

The County Commission on Wednesday gave one-year contract extensions to Randy Russell and Sharetta Smith. The commission was also set to continue Mr. Russell as the chief magistrate.
