Man Who Won Suit Against City Is Arrested

A former city public works employee who this week won a $120,000 discrimination suit against the city has been arrested.

Ronald L. Madden was among those arrested Thursday night in a police roundup.

He was taken into custody on outstanding aggravated domestic assualt and unlawful possession of a firearm charges.

Federal Judge Curtis Collier had ruled for Madden, saying it was more likely than not he was fired from the city because he is black.

Others arrested included Carlos Boykin, Walton Early, Donald McMurray, Ellis Jordan, Jared Broome, John Lindsey, Maurico Scruggs, Paula Beard, Raymond Moore and Tianna Perry.
