Three suspects in the torture and murder of a 94-year-old Morristown man have been arrested in Chattanooga.
Authorities said six people from Hamblen County were staying in a room at the Red Roof Inn on Lee Highway.
They said some of the suspects were returned to Morristown, and one led them to the body of Willie Morgan. It had been dumped in a field.
He had been kidnapped from his home Saturday night in relation to an alleged $3,000 drug debt, authorities said.
The victim was missing his left hand. Authorities said the hand along with two butcher knives were found in a car at the Chattanooga motel.
Facing charges are Darrell Nance, 22, felony murder; Brice Whaley, accessory after the fact to felony murder and abuse of a corpse, and Jessica Lane, 23, criminal responsibility for felony murder.
