Rogers, Ralph Thomas

Owned Rogers Food King Over 55 Years

Ralph Thomas Rogers, 90, of Chattanooga, who loved life and nature, died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, in a local health care center.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Rogers was a longtime member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. He was a decorated veteran of World War II and was retired owner and operator of Rogers Food King for over 55 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Thomas Rogers.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Chapman Rogers; daughter, Anita Adkins and husband, Gary, of Daytona Beach, Fl.; daughter-in-law, Gayle Rogers Thompson; grandchildren, William Thomas Rogers Jr., Kathy Spurling, Gary Lynn Adkins, Adam Adkins and Amy Miller; six great-grandchildren; two special caring nieces, Pat Bowden and Julia Parker.

Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Fred Edwards and the Rev. Haywood Cosby officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Phillips, Mark Anthony, Sr.

Mark Anthony Phillips Sr., 54, of Chattanooga, died on February 11, 2012.  He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.   He was a member of the Church of Christ and was employed by Alstom as a quality control inspector. Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence
