A church group opposing a Charlotte abortion clinic has not given up on a plan to set up an abortion clinic in Chattanooga.
Chattanooga area churches that have been holding prayer and fasting vigils for the past 40 days related to the clinic will close the 40 days out at OLPH Sunday at 3:15.
Around 4 p.m., the group will hold a press conference "explaining that the Charlotte abortion clinic which has been attempting to come in to Chattanooga has not given up."
Sally Daughety said, "Many protestant and Catholic churches have participated in the vigil. The Charlotte concern has the ads ready for our yellow pages and a new call screening center in Charlotte to take the Chattanooga calls.
"We want the Chattanooga community to be aware that the fight is still on."
