Williams, Pickett Power Baylor Past PJP II, 28-7

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – Baylor’s Red Raiders went to the ground here Friday night in defeating Pope John Paul II in a Division II high school football game.

Baylor gained 349 yards on 58 carries with Sam Williams rushing for 219 on 29 carries and Brandon Pickett adding 96 yards on 13 carries.

Williams scored on a touchdown run of 4 yards and Pickett added touchdown runs of 28 and 8 yards.

Baylor quarterback Matt Oellerich added a touchdown run of 8 yards.

Jordan Evans scored Pope John Paul’s only touchdown on a 12-yard run.

John Mackey had two sacks for Baylor while Pickett and Channing Gordon each had an interception.

Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
