Special Teams Lift McCallie Past Tyner, 42-33

McCallie unleashed its special teams on Friday night and raced past Tyner, 42-33, in a non-region high school football game at Tyner.

With McCallie leading, 21-14, at halftime, the Blue Tornado’s Jay Fullam returned the second-half kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. Fullam has committed to play at Vanderbilt.

Later in the half, McCallie’s John Brock returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown.

McCallie also got a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown from Rico Henderson.

Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
