Chattanooga Police homicide investigators have arrested Regina Corbin, 36, of Chattanooga and charged her with felony murder and aggravated child abuse in connection with the death of a two-month-old infant she was babysitting.

Chattanooga Police on May 30 had responded to 2208 E. 24th St. Court on a call of CPR in progress on an infant. The baby had been left with Ms. Corbin at approximately 1:30 p.m. while the baby’s mother was at work.

When the mother returned home around 9 p.m. the baby was found unresponsive. Police said 911 was called and CPR was started. The baby was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

An autopsy was preformed the following day revealing the infant had sustained multiple blunt force injuries.
