Publix In Hixson Opens Wednesday

Watkins Retail Group announces the opening of the 78,490©\square foot neighborhood center in Hixson. Located at the corner of Hixson Pike and Cassandra Smith Road, the retail center is home to Chattanooga¡¯s first ground©\up Publix Super Market.

¡°Creek Plantation Village is a key amenity base for this burgeoning Chattanooga community,¡± said Marlene Green, director of leasing and marketing, Watkins Retail Group. ¡°This neighborhood center offers our retail partners successful storefront opportunities in a high©\growth market, yet responds to our neighbors with a necessity retail hub close to home.¡±

Anchored by Publix Super Markets, Creek Plantation Village features the following retailers: BiBa¡¯s Italian Restaurant, Chloe Salon, Great Clips, Nails So Happy, Tantalized Tanning Salon and Wild Birds Unlimited. Publix opens Wednesday with the other tenants opening within 30 ¨C 60 days. Another 11,000 square feet of small shop space is also available for specialty shops, restaurants and other service providers.

¡°Our primary trade area boasts a strong population base and high incomes ¨C ideal for retail, restaurant and service amenities,¡± said Ms. Green. A population of over 25,000 shoppers with an average household annual income topping $75,000, resides within three miles of Creek Plantation Village. Further, Hixson Pike is the main thoroughfare connecting downtown Chattanooga to Hixson, Lakesite and Soddy Daisy, three of the most actively growing and affluent communities of Chattanooga.

Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence
