A man said he was beaten and robbed in the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store on E. 23rd Street.
Titus Heard said he was walking across the parking lot when he was approached by 3-4 black males.
He said they began punching him until he fell to the pavement.
They then took his wallet, which contained $200.
Police said he had several cuts and contusions on his face. He was taken by ambulance to Erlanger Hospital.

Also on E. 23rd Street, the sales manager of Worldwide Equipment said his laptop computer was stolen.
Johnny Britton said he went outside to check on vehicles. When he returned, the laptop was gone from his office desk.
A video showed a black male wearing blue jeans and a multi-colored shirt enter the business and then emerge with the laptop. He was about 5'10" and 200 pounds.

A woman on Nautical Way said she and a girlfriend arrived at her house and she spotted her ex-boyfriend, Jeffery Johnson, inside. She said she started to run when she saw him coming around a corner.
She said he does not have a key to her home and was not supposed to be there.
The woman said she ran to her gold 2003 Buick and Johnson came chasing after her. She said she got the car going and he jumped on the hood.
She said she tried to speed up to shake him off the vehicle, but he managed to get from the hood to inside the car.
The woman said she then slammed on the brakes, causing him to crash into the dashboard. He then took off.
She said she is so fearful of him that she and her daughter have been staying in a shelter to avoid him.
Warrants were taken against Johnson for domestic assault and burglary.

Loss prevention officers at the Brainerd Wal-Mart said they spotted Jasmine Cole taking several items of clothing and trying to leave without paying.
Officers said it was found that Ms. Cole has two active warrants.
In addition, she was arrested for shoplifting at the same Wal-Mart three months ago and was banned from the store.
She was taken to jail.

A man on Patterson Road said he was conned by a company called Beta Financial Services and Consultants.
He said he was sent a check for $3,985.65 and in return he was told to send a check for $3,800 so he could collect a $57,000 lump sum.
The check he was sent turned out to be fraudulent. The check he sent to a Kevin White was cashed, and he is out that amount.

Frances Quarterman of Lee Avenue called police to report that when she started to leave her home she saw a coyote coming toward her.
She said she was afraid so she asked for an officer to come out.
By the time the officer arrived, the coyote was gone.
