The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults will hold the third annual Nutcracker Sweets, presented by Blush Magazine, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Bessie Smith Hall.
The Nutcracker Sweets is a dessert sampling and silent auction featuring an array of one-of-a kind desserts prepared by local chefs from Between the Bridges Café, Cake Gallery, Chef Jernard Wells, St. John’s Restaurant and many more. Southern Coffee Service will serve up a variety of coffees to compliment the sweets.
New this year is the “Sweet Feats” competition, with Times Free Press Food Editor Anne Braly judging the most deliciously creative dessert as submitted by professional chefs in the commercial category, as well as entries from “Home Chefs” in the non-commercial category.
Chattanooga State instrumental and vocal ensembles, led by Darrin Hassevoort, will provide live music for the evening.
Proceeds benefit the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults’ Crisis Resource Center, which includes the Family Violence Shelter, Sexual Assault Center, and New Visions program for homeless, single women. Each year, the Partnership provides crisis intervention services, emergency hotlines, counseling, shelter, and advocacy to more than 3,000 individuals and families in the community.
