The UTC Mocs picked up their first victory of the season, rolling past Tennessee Temple at McKenzie Arena on Saturday night, 108-67.
Stephen McDowell scored 24 and Ty Patterson added 19. Other Moc scoring included Nicchaeus Doaks, 14; Ricky Taylor, 13; Khalil Hartwell, 10; Jeff Smith, 9, and Jeremy Saffore, 8.
Larry Franklin scored 12 for the Crusaders, while Curtis Porter added 12.
The Mocs never trailed - jumping out to an 8-0 advantage, then going up 26-3. Temple cut the lead to 9 at 51-42 with just under three minutes left in the first half. It was 56-42 at intermission.
UTC built the lead to as much as 45 in the second half, going up 97-52 and 106-51.
UTC is now 1-5, while Temple drops to 1-8. The Crusaders have lost eight straight after winning the opener.
UTC is not back at McKenzie Arena until the Dr. Pepper Classic on Dec. 29 and 30.
