Siskin Children's Institute will provide a free community education session entitled "Positive Behavior Supports" as part its Autism Series and Early Childhood Education Series. Bring your family and friends to the Hunter Museum and enjoy the galleries, trees and other holiday displays as well as several fun, festive events. Mainx24, an annual event with 24-hours of Main Street activities, will be held from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday morning. The day begins with a Pancake Breakfast with Horse and Carriage Rides benefiting Habitat for Humanity, followed by a full day of activities including a Southside gallery hop; a Chattanooga tree lighting; a visit with Santa; and several demonstrations by local artists. There's also a bicycle scavenger hunt, a fashion-show at the ChooChoo and midnight storytelling. The event concludes with an after-party in the wee hours with mimosas and eggs benedict. Downtown streets will sparkle during the Holiday Starlight Parade on Saturday. The 2008 Holiday Starlight Parade will proceed from Miller Park up Market Street to the Tennessee Aquarium beginning at 6 p.m. This event is produced by the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership and City of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation. With a succession of unique holiday entries, this event is known for its dazzling Yuletide theme featuring performing groups, marching bands, vehicles and floats all strung in twinkling lights. Dickens' A Christmas Carol continues through Friday, Dec. 19, at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. Disney's "Alice in Wonderland Junior" will be presented Friday, Dec. 5, through Sunday, Dec. 21. Chickamauga And Chattanooga National Military Park Receives Impact Grant

Bradley County Satellite Property Tax Collection Locations Announced

Bradley County Trustee Mike Smith has released the schedule for the satellite property tax collection locations for February. Mr. Smith said, “The satellite locations have been very popular with taxpayers. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

An Chattanooga man told police Monday night that he had just murdered his wife.  Police said Robert Lee Hardnett, 50. showed up at the County Jail to turn himself in at 8:40 p.m. He said his wife's body could be found at his place of employment, Power Supply Company, 1907 Daisy St.   Officers responded to that address and found the body of 34-year-old Elizabeth ... Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

A leak of anhydrous ammonia at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway forced the closure of main thoroughfares Tuesday morning, causing major problems for rush-hour traffic heading into Chattanooga.  The incident began around 4:30 a.m. at the plant when a small fire broke out at an anhydrous ammonia pump. Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
