Theresa Burkhart Fritts, 51, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, December 14, 2008.

Theresa was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Hixson High School in 1975. She was employed with Unum Provident for over 28 years and currently employed as a Medicare Specialist at My Part D USA. Theresa was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David L. and Dorothy Burkhart, and her son, Joseph Klynt Fritts.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 31 years, Donald K. Fritts; two daughters, Patricia Lee and Anna Marie Fritts; seven siblings, Cathy, Steve, Mary Ann, Janet Burkhart, Michelle Cecil, Michael Burkhart and Ashley Johnson; stepmother, Sally Burkhart; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Celebration for Theresa will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Joe Brando and Father Mike Nolan officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday with a prayer service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Nature Center, 400 Garden Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37419.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
