Senators Strangely Silent On TVA Spill

Monday, December 29, 2008

TVA had a massive discharge of fly ash from a holding pond at the Kingston Steam Plant. It was spread out of hundreds of acres and did untold damage to the environment, dumping millions of gallons of waste in our rivers.

We have finally heard from most news services about how bad it was, but I haven't heard anything from our two senators about this matter. This is their state too. They are supposed to represent all the people of Tennessee, but I haven't heard a peep from either one of them - no tours of the area, no helicopter tours of the area, no nothing.

Don't our senators care about the citizens of Tennessee or our drinking water or the homeowners who have lost property? I am waiting, senators.
