The Ice Bowl is a charity fund raising event and raised over $2000 on Sturday. The money raised is for VORP - Victim Offender Reconciliation Program a local non-profit agency working with teens to provide a second chance to correct a wrong and learn from a mistake.

The Chattanooga Flying Disc Club and VORP welcomed 70+ Disc golfers from a 150 mile radius of Chattanooga, who came for a day of fun and friendly competition.

The weather was great with temperatures in the mid 60s and a strong afternoon wind to challenging the Pro & Advanced fields at the temporary course setup at TVA's Chickamauga Dam reservation.

Stone Cup was there to greet golfers with Hot coffee in the morning and Lupi's Pizza supplied hot pizzas cooked on site for lunch. There was plenty of RC Colas and Moon Pies to round out the day.

The next event in the "RC Cola Moon Pies Series" is the "Grapevine Classic" a PDGA sanctioned Disc Golf tournament expected to bring 170+ golfers to the Sinks Disc Golf Course on Saturday April 19.

Randy Smith: Tim Daniels’ Big Shadow

I remember the first time I ever met Tim Daniels. It was in his first season as the head football coach of the Red Bank Lions; the first of back to back 2-8 seasons. Considering he had replaced coaching legend Tom Weathers, after that second season, I came to the conclusion he wouldn’t be there much longer. Boy was I wrong!   He was a bit timid in that first interview I ... (click for more)

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (2)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ... Roy Exum: What 17 Pills Did To Me

Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance. Never in my life have I ever had any back problems but, in early December, I came down with what is called sciatica and I have been a miserable man ever since. There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
