Two men are now in custody in connection with the shooting that occurred early Saturday morning at the Chattanooga Theatre Center. Police said they learned the second man who was arrested is wanted in Memphis on a first-degree murder charge.

Spearman "Alpo" Anderson was arrested after he fled to Murfreesboro.

The Murfreesboro Police Department was provided with addresses that Anderson might be hiding at in their area. Murfreesboro officers located him at a local motel and, after a standoff with the Murfreesboro SWAT Team, Anderson actively resisted but was taken into custody.

Anderson will face charges of four counts of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault; one count of felony reckless endangerment and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with the Theatre Centre shooting in which four people were hit.

The Murfreesboro Police Department will hold him on the standoff and resisting arrest charges. Fugitive officers from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office were to return Anderson to Chattanooga.

Earlier, police arrested Carlos Lavario Key, 22, of Memphis.

Key was charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of felony reckless endangerment
and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

One of those shot in the incident was seriously wounded.

Police had been looking for several men, who burst into a party and ended up firing numerous shots inside and outside of the facility located next to Coolidge Park.

Police said it was an after Valentine's Day event called “Friends and Lovers” that was sponsored by Fab 5 Entertainment.

It is still in question as to whether security was at the event, police said.

Witnesses told police four suspects entered the party and began shoving the patrons. When the patrons began asking what was going on, two of the suspects produced handguns and began shooting into the crowd. The suspects exited and continued to fire shots on the parking lot.

The suspects got into a purple 2007 Chevrolet Impala and fled. As they drove off the lot they fired several shots in the air.

The incident occurred about 2:30 a.m.

Martell D. Price, 21, had a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He had exploratory surgery and was in the Intensive Care Unit. The injury was not life threatening.

Quintarius Mitchell, 20, was shot in the right foot. He was later admitted to the hospital.

Rodney White, 23, was shot in the right thigh. He was not admitted to the hospital.

Phillip Jackson, 20, had a gunshot wound to the right foot. He was not admitted to the hospital.

None of the victims are UTC students.
