Mary Louise Short Stevens, 94, of Chattanooga, died on February 20, 2008 at a local hospital.

She was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Ronald Knickerbocker; grandsons, Gary (Stephanie) Knickerbocker and Steve (Vickie) Knickerbocker; great-granddaughter, Amy (Geoff) Knickerbocker White; four sisters; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Collegedale Memorial Park with Pastor Denis Breetzke officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Knickerbocker home, 2940 Old Britain Circle, Chattanooga.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

A leak of anhydrous ammonia at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway forced the closure of main thoroughfares Tuesday morning, causing major problems for rush-hour traffic heading into Chattanooga.  The incident began around 4:30 a.m. at the plant when a small fire broke out at an anhydrous ammonia pump.
