For the first time this season the Covenant Lady Scots scored 100 points in a game, defeating Virginia Intermont, 100-77.

Covenant rose to a tie with Milligan for the conference lead on a night in which seniors Lyndee Biles and Laura Grady were honored. Milligan lost to Bryan.

Biles led all scorers with 24 points, including three shots from behind the arc and eight for 11 from the floor. Biles also dished off six assists and had seven steals.

Liz Martin scored 23 points and had 7 assists. Laura Grady contributed 18 points, had three assists and two steals.

Candace Lee had a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Brinkley Knowles had 11 points and three assists for the Lady Scots.

Virginia Intermont was led by Mitchelle Shokley who scored 14 points. Heather Odle, Haley Odle, and Kendra Newman all scored 12 points for VI. Sheena Chesney contributed 11 points and 5 assists.

Covenant moves to 19-5 overall and 12-2 in conference play. The Lady Scots play Milligan on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at home.

In another AAC women's game, junior Susanna Todd buried six 3-pointers in helping Union College to an 81-58 victory over visiting Bluefield (Va.) College Saturday.

Todd (Eubank, Ky.) hit 6-of-9 from long range in scoring a game-high 20 points. She moved closer to becoming the program's all-time 3-point shooter as she now has 184 career trey, two shy of Danielle Gallert's mark of 186.

With the win, Union improved to 18-7 overall and 11-3 in league play, while Bluefield dropped to 1-23 overall and 0-14 in the AAC.

After a somewhat sluggish start, Union used a 23-8 run to open up a 32-12 cushion en route to a 41-25 halftime lead. Union continued the theme in the second half, leading by as many as 31 as it maintain at least at 20-point margin for the final 13 minutes of the game as it wrapped up the 81-58 win.

After Todd, Brooke Smith (Pineville, Ky.) had 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds as she became just the third player in program history to score 600 points in a season, joining Amber Spencer (725 points) and Tonya Brumley (622 points) in that exclusive club. Smith currently has 610 points on the year.

Carley Blankenship (Lexington, Ky.) chipped in 10 points for Union.

Reserve Holly Hudson paced Bluefield with 14 points. Megan Criss led Bluefield on the board with 10 rebounds.

Union hit 13-of-31 (41.9 precent) from 3-point range with Todd making nearly half of the team's treys. Union was 48.3 percent (29-of-60 shots) from the field. Meanwhile, Bluefield made just 32.8 percent (19-of-58 shots) from the floor and 6-of-24 (25 percent) from long range.

Union hits the road Wednesday to face Virginia Intermont College at 5:30 p.m.

Union has now won its last 12 home games in a row and is 13-1 at Robsion Arena this season.
Union is now 3-0 when holding its opponent to 59 or fewer points and 10-1 when limiting opponents under 70 points.
The 20-point outing by Susanna Todd was her second one of the season and eighth of her career.
Brooke Smith has now scored in double figures in her last 18 games and 24 of 25 games this season.
