Pat Branam, director of development for the University of Cincinnati College Of Law, is taking a position at UTC as associate vice chancellor of development.
She had also served on the Deer Park City School District Board of Education at Deer Park, Ohio. She had served on the school board since 1990.
She resigned effective March 1 to take the UTC post.
A Tennessee native, she moved to Dillonvale, Ohio, in 1974.
She served as the board's legislative liaison to the Ohio School Board Association and as the student achievement liaison. She also headed up the finance and audit/insurance committee.
An article about her in the Bradley Community Press said she is the parent of two Deer Park High School graduates and first became interested in serving on the board as a result of being a parent volunteer working on school levies in the 1980s. She took part in 12 school district levy campaigns.
Mrs. Branam was also involved with Destination Imagination and was a tutor for the district's Friends with Books Program.
Mrs. Branam has taught preschool/Sunday School for 20 years. She currently teaches at Clovernook Christian Church.
After more than a decade as a paralegal/legal assistant, she took the fundraising job at the University of Cincinnati College Of Law.
Mrs. Branam has a bachelor's degree in humanities from UC.
