Jennifer Daniels Has Benefit Concert For PSI April 18

The Psychological Studies Institute will hold a benefit concert by Jennifer Daniels, a Chattanooga native and nationally recognized singer and songwriter, on Friday, April 18. The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at North Shore Fellowship, located at 118 Woodland Ave. All proceeds will benefit the PSI Community Counseling Center.

Dr. Jana Pressley, director of the PSI Community Counseling Center, said, “The PSI Community Counseling Center is an outreach program of the Psychological Studies Institute. We provide individual, marital, and family counseling services to clients who are uninsured or underinsured, and we believe that quality mental health care should be accessible to anyone regardless of financial status. We are completely funded by local foundations, churches, and individual donors.”

PSI, originally founded as the Chattanooga Bible Institute in 1933, is a faith-based graduate school, integrating the disciplines of applied psychology and practical theology. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, PSI awards master’s degrees in professional counseling and marriage and family therapy. The institute has campuses in Atlanta and Chattanooga, where it also operates a network of counseling centers.

Arbor Day Celebrations Scheduled For March 2-3

Lookout Valley, Tn. recorded the first tornado on what would become a historic 2-day tornado outbreak, at 7:55am on April 27, 2011. Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. The leak reportedly occurred shortly before 5 a.m. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded with several fire companies, and the haz-mat team. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times. Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
