Stacey Bunch, a member of the Soddy Daisy High School Band, will perform with the Tennessee All-State Jazz Band in Nashville on Friday, as part of the 2008 Tennessee Music Educators Clinic/Convention Meeting. She was chosen for the honor in competitive auditions held this year across the state at regional levels.
Stacey is a student of Bill Wynn and plays at school under the direction of Rick Chambers who is a member of the Tennessee Music Educators Association, a 2,000+ member group of Tennessee. This is her first time to perform as a member of a TMEA All-State Group.
Her other interests in school include English and Quiz Bowl. She also enjoys reading and listening to music. Stacey is the daughter of Wilbert and Katherine Bunch of Hixson, Tn.
Band Director Rick Chambers said, “This is a great honor for both Stacey and our band program. All of our students and parents are proud of Stacey and support her as she represents us at the state level.”
