Alexian Village Caritas Ball Planned to Provide Financial Assistance To Residents

Friday, May 16, 2008

The annual Alexian Village Caritas Ball will be held in the Evergreen Room at Alexian Saturday, June 7, beginning at 7 p.m. The program will include a silent auction, music and dancing to the Jim Wilson Quintet, with Jed Mescom as emcee. The theme will be the 1920s Great Gatsby.

The cocktail affair will be an evening of dining, dancing and shopping with heavy hors d'euvres and an open bar. The ball has returned to the Village after several years in downtown Chattanooga. With an expected attendance of 350, space will be limited.

Tickets are $100 per person with a $45 tax deduction. In addition to donations anyone might wish to make, there will be two categories of sponsors. Diamond sponsors may reserve two tables for eight for $3,000 or emerald sponsors may reserve one table for eight for $2,000. All sponsors' names will be listed on the program.

Proceeds from the ball help provide financial assistance to residents who
no longer have the financial resources to pay for care in an Alexian
facility. The financial assistance provided is kept confidential in order
to honor the dignity of the individual. The Caritas Fund helps to ensure that a resident's needs are met until death.

Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)
