It will be Wednesday from 2-3:30 p.m. at Chattanooga State Technical Community College's Humanities Building Auditorium.
Attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments and music afterwards.
Taking part will be:
Tennessee Comptroller John Morgan,
AARP Chief Operating Officer Tom Nelson
TVA Retirees Association President Ron Loving
Chattanooga State President Jim Catanzaro
Chattanooga Times Free Press Publisher Tom Griscom, incoming chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, moderates a panel that includes:
· CJ Enterprises President and CEO Carolyn Jones
· Access American Transport President Ted Alling
· Joseph Decosimo and Company Principal Mike Costello.
Karin Miller of AARP said, "Hard-working Tennesseans should be able to retire with peace of mind, knowing that their nest eggs are big enough to provide lifetime financial security.
"The truth is that so many can’t. Social Security replaces only about 40 percent of pre-retirement income and many employees have no access to retirement benefits at work. Too many workers who do have savings plans at work don’t put any money aside.
"Business owners who want to help their workers often are afraid they can’t afford to."
