Prostitution StingNets 7 Arrests

The special investigations unit of the Chattanooga Police Department conducted a vice street prostitution sting on Wednesday and made seven arrests.

Undercover officers were used to pose as “johns” to be solicited for sex for money from suspected street prostitutes.

Seven females were arrested on prostitution and prostitution-related charges.

Two of the suspects attempted to flee from officers on foot after being told they were under arrest. They were captured after short foot pursuits.

The below suspects were arrested and were transported to the Hamilton County Jail:

Tina Cook, 42, arrested in the 2500 block of Watauga Street and was charged with prostitution within 1 ½ miles of a school.

Lisa Clark, 42, arrested in the 2600 S. Hickory Street and was charged with prostitution within 1 ½ miles of a school and resisting arrest. Currently out on bond for theft over $1000, 2 counts of theft over $500 and prostitution.

Jane Doe (possible name of Sara Dodd, 25), arrested in the 2800 block of Watauga Street and charged with prostitution within 1 ½ miles of a school and resisting arrest.

Rena Baker, 42, arrested in the 1600 block of S. Kelly Street and charged with prostitution within 1 ½ miles of a school. Complaint # 08-40564

Jodie Devries, 34, arrested in the 2000 block of S. Willow Street and charged with prostitution within 1 ½ miles of a school.

Felecia Moorer, 36, arrested in the 1600 block of S. Willow Street and was charged with obstructing a roadway. Ms Moorer is a known prostitute who was observed flagging down cars and stopping them, which was causing a traffic hazard, police said.

Sharon King, 44, arrested in the 1600 block of S. Willow Street and was charged with obstructing a roadway. Ms. King is a known prostitute who was observed flagging down cars and stopping them which was causing a traffic hazard, police said. Ms King is currently on probation for prostitution within 1 ½ miles of a school.


Less Than Month Remains For Free Upgrade To Photo Driver's License

Hamilton County Clerk Bill Knowles said that less than a month remains for county residents wishing to upgrade their non-photo driver’s license without cost in the County Clerk’s Courthouse office.
