Home Invasion In East Brainerd Puts Westview School In Lockdown

Friday, May 09, 2008

A home invasion in East Brainerd late Friday morning caused authorities to temporarily lockdown the nearby Westview Elementary School.

Shortly after 11 a.m., two men entered a home in the Emerald Valley Subdivision off East Brainerd. The owner was bound and an undisclosed amount of property and money were taken.

No one was injured during the incident.

Due to the close proximity of Westview Elementary School, the administration placed that school on lockdown status until it was determined that there was no danger, officials said.

It happened at the Emerald Valley Subdivision off East Brainerd Road, near the intersection of Ooltewah Georgetown Road.

The victim reports being home alone when two suspects forced their way into the residence through a side door, then forcibly bound the victim, and made off with an undisclosed amount of property.
The victim reported being able to loosen the knots, then contact law enforcement.

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)
