Ed Green, 70, of Dalton, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008.

He was the son of the late Lewis and Jean Nations Green and was preceded in death by his son, Lynn Green; brothers, Herman Green and Bob Green.

He is survived by his daughter, Lorinda Green of Ellijay; former wife, Yvonne Green of Ellijay; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Isaac Painter of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Betty Green of Dalton; mother-in-law, Dimple Davis of Ellijay; grandchildren, Laurel and Adam Carter of Cedartown, Lacey Thornton of Cohutta, Tanner Burnette of Ellijay; great-grandchild, Macy Leigh Carter; special friends, Betty Parrott , Bill and Marie Parrott all of Rocky Face and Sam Calhoun of Dalton; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Gable officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Michael Lamar Johnston Must Wait Almost Two More Months Before Learning Sentence
