Fire damaged a house on Frawley Street in East Ridge on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:34 p.m., East Ridge Fire/Rescue along with East Ridge Police responded to the fire at 3402 Frawley St.
The house had already been evacuated as firefighters began an interior attack. The fire was brought under control less than 10 minutes after crews arrived.
The fire appears to have originated in the kitchen. However, the exact cause and origin are under investigation by East Ridge fire and arson investigators.
The damage is estimated at between $15,000 and $20,000.
Responding to the fire were East Ridge Squad 1, Engine 2, Quint 3, Support 1, Rescue 1, Fort Oglethorpe Engine 10 along with Memorial EMS.
