Crystal Taylor Hutchings, 42, of Soddy-Daisy, Tn., died in her home on Monday, July 7, 2008.

She was born in Grove city, Pa., July 9, 1965. She was a graduate of Grove City College with a BS in Biology. She was the proud mother of four boys and three girls. Her greatest joy was caring for her family and home schooling her children. She was a member of Hixson Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Hutchings was preceded in death by her father, James L. Taylor, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Hutchings, of Soddy-Daisy; seven children, Daniel, Jacob, Nathan, Alex, Anna, Rachel, and Stephanie; mother, Barbara Taylor Frohne, of Slippery Rock, Pa.; sister, Machelle Smith, of Oil City, Pa.; brother, James L. Taylor III, of State College, Pa.; nieces and nephews, Zachary Smith, Abby Smith, Emily Taylor, Katie Taylor and Chloe Hutchings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at the Hixson Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Sparta, Tn., at Hutchings Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

A leak of anhydrous ammonia at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway forced the closure of main thoroughfares Tuesday morning, causing major problems for rush-hour traffic heading into Chattanooga.  The incident began around 4:30 a.m. at the plant when a small fire broke out at an anhydrous ammonia pump.
