Dr. Ray Smith Appointed Regional Director For Bethel College Success

Dr. Stephen Ray Smith has been named to head development for the Bethel College Success program in Chattanooga and surrounding areas.

"We're privileged to have Dr. Smith on our Outreach Team," said Dr. Nassar, executive director of Bethel College Division of Educational Outreach. "His extensive experience in international business, organizational leadership, economics and marketing -- in addition to his proven capabilities as a college educator – will be an invaluable asset to our program and its students."

Dr. Smith, a native of Chattanooga, is the former director of the Bryan College MBA program in Dayton and Chattanooga, where he also served as professor of Business and Economics. He previously directed both the MBA program and the International Business Studies program of King College in Bristol, Tn., and was Program Development Consultant of Chattanooga State Technical Community College/DuPont in Chattanooga.

Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va.; a Master's of International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC; and a BA in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

He served as adjunct professor of leadership/management in Oradea, Romania, and has lectured on customer-relationship management, transformational leadership and sports marketing in Slovakia, Bosnia and the Czech Republic. He has also directed university study-abroad visits in numerous European countries.
