Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Affordable single-game football tickets for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga home games go on sale Tuesday, the UTC Athletics Department announced Monday.

The 2008 Chattanooga schedule features six home dates with four against Southern Conference rivals and two with nearby non-conference teams.

UTC’s football ticket prices are difficult to beat. A general admission seat is $10 for adults ages 18 and up, while a youth ticket for those 17 and under is just $5.

General admission seats for UTC employees and alumni are just $5 as well.

Reserved chairback seats are $20 for the general public, $10 for UTC employees.

A special rate for groups of 10 or more fans is $4 per ticket for a general admission seat.

Season tickets are still available at a great value. Adult season tickets are just $50 for general admission and $100 for reserved chairback seating. A youth 17 years and younger pays just $25 for a general admission season ticket.

UTC staff, employees and alumni receive the special season-ticket rate of $25 for general admission seats, while UTC staff can purchase reserved seat tickets for just $50 for the season.

All six home games are included in the season-ticket package and available for single-game purchase – Cumberland University on Sept. 6, Jacksonville State Sept. 20, Georgia Southern Oct. 4, Elon Oct. 18, Appalachian State Nov. 8 and Samford Nov. 22.

Tickets can be purchased on-line by visiting UTC’s official Athletics website, GoMocs.com. Ticket orders can also be placed at the McKenzie Arena box office or by calling the ticket office at 423-266-6627.

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt. Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: What 17 Pills Did To Me

Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance. Never in my life have I ever had any back problems but, in early December, I came down with what is called sciatica and I have been a miserable man ever since. There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
