Williams Rushes for 325, Scores Four Touchdowns In Baylor Win

Red Raiders Roll Past Greater Atlanta Christian

ATLANTA – Just call it “Sam Williams Night.’’

Baylor’s junior tailback did it all on Friday night as the Red Raiders rolled past Greater Atlanta Christian, 44-22, in a high school football game.

Williams ran for 325 yards on 13 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Red Raiders improved to 2-1 on the season.

Williams had touchdown runs of 61, 87, 83 and 39 yards.

Baylor also got a safety when John Mackey tackled the Greater Atlanta Christian quarterback in the end zone and a late touchdown from Brandon Pickett.

Taylor Tanner kicked five point-afters Friday for the Red Raiders.

Baylor and Greater Atlanta Christian were tied at 7 after the first quarter, but the Red Raiders put 16 point son the board in the second quarter.

Greater Atlanta Christian pulled within 30-22 after three quarters, but Baylor put the game away with two more scores in the final quarter.

Baylor, coached by Phil Massey, lost last week to Montgomery Bell Academy.

Next Friday in a key Division II game, the Red Raiders will play host to Brentwood Academy. Brentwood is coached by former Baylor and McCallie coach Ralph Potter.
