Ed Stetzer To Speak At Seminar For Ministry Leaders

Ed Stetzer, the President of Lifeway Research and Lifeway's Missiologist in Residence, will spend a half day with church and ministry leaders discussing, "Lost and Found: The Younger Unchurched and Churches that Reach Them", Thursday, March 5th, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brainerd Baptist Church, BX building, The Crossing. The cost is $15 per person or $50 per church (up to 4 people).

He will discuss how to reach out to and disciple young adults. He will talk about "What They Believe" and four values that mark this generation: "Community", "Content and Depth", "Social Responsibility", and "Cross-Generational Connnection". He will cover such questions as how Young Adults experience worship, how churches are connecting through technology, how service fits into their world-view, and the role of leadership in your church or ministry.

Ed has planted churches in New York, Pennsylvania and Georgia and transitioned declining churches in Indiana and Georgia. He has trained pastors on five continents, holds two masters degrees and two doctorates. Ed is on the faculty of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Brainerd Baptist Hosts Parents' Night Out Feb. 17

Prosecutors Asking Maximum Sentence For "Evil" Mother Of Jesse Mathews

Prosecutors are asking that the mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Tim Chapin be given the maximum possible sentence, calling Kathleen Mathews an evil manipulator who encouraged Jesse Mathews' criminal endeavors. Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
