Parkridge East Baby Fair Is Feb. 28

The annual Parkridge East Baby Fair will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon.

The theme for Baby Fair 2009 is “Every Baby’s a Star at Parkridge East.” Guests will be given a VIP tour of the Birth Place and learn about the hospital’s birthing services, hear local physicians provide educational workshops for new parents, and visit exhibitors who will display their products and have giveaways and door prizes.

Parkridge East is located at 941 Spring Creek Road in East Ridge.

Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
