A 23-year-old rock climber has fallen to his death at Prentice Cooper State Forest.
Authorities said the body of Jesse David Brude of Harrison was found by his brother.
Late Wednesday night, Walden Ridge Emergency Services, Suck Creek Fire Dept, and Chattanooga/Hamilton County Rescue assisted the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in recovering the body.
On Monday, Mr. Brude, who was an avid rock climber, told friends and family that he was going rock climbing at Prentice Cooper.
On Wednesday, shortly after 4 p.m., the brother of Mr. Brude went looking for him and found his body at the base of a cliff on the Hamilton County side of Suck Creek Mountain.
Information was relayed to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office that it was not unusual for Mr. Brude to be gone for several days rock climbing.
The investigation will be continuing by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
