Authorities said Friday that arson was involved in a fire that killed a mother and her two small children in Bradley County on Wednesday night.
Investigators for the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, the State Bomb and Arson Division, and Bradley County Fire and Rescue "have determined the fire at 1982 Hunt Road was set," officials said.
Authorities declined further comment, saying the probe was continuing.
The victims were Rachel Delacruz, 28; McKenzie Grace Matthews, 2, and Timothy Matthews, 3.
The fire broke out shortly after 11 p.m. at a small frame home on Hunt Road.
The bodies of the victims were found inside by arriving fire and rescue personnel.
Authorities said the fire apparently began in the living room.
