The Covenant volleyball team took home wins on Saturday over Virginia Intermont College and Wesleyan College.

In the day's first match, Covenant started out slow, falling behind in each of their first two sets. However, as the match went on, the Lady Scots were able to find a rhythm and take home their 10th win of the season. Joanna McGill and Johanna Stoep created some of the team's rhythm early on as they connected on several plays leading to big Covenant points.

Covenant's second match of the day against Wesleyan College saw the Lady Scots jump out to a big lead early. The Lady Pioneers, who are yet to win a set this season in their 13 matches, made 26 errors while only managing 2 total attack attempts.

Jessica Chittenden registered a personal season-high 7 kills in the match while also contributing another season-high 5 service aces.

With the win, the Lady Scots move to 11-16 on the year and 5-7 in the month of October. Their next match is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Gadsden State Community College on Lookout Mountain.
