Hit And Run Driver Sought In Brandy Johnson Death

Monday, October 26, 2009

Soddy-Daisy Police are trying to find a hit-and-run driver who may have been involved in the traffic death of 22-year-old Brandy Johnson on Friday night.

Ms. Johnson was killed on Green Pond Road as she brought pizza home for a Halloween party.

Police said the mother of two apparently lost control of her vehicle and it landed on its side in a ditch.

However, her body ended up 120 feet away in the opposite lane of traffic.

Ms. Johnson was struck by a white car that left the scene.

Police said they do not know if she died from the initial wreck or from being struck by the car.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Williamson and Son Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy.
