The Rite Aid Pharmacy at 5441 Highway 153 is short on Oxycontin Tuesday morning due to a robbery that happened Monday night.
Employees reported that a white man jumped the pharmacy counter and brandished a small silver pocket knife around 8 p.m. He demanded that employees give him all of the Oxycontin in the pharmacy and followed one of the employees to get it. After getting the medication, he jumped the counter left the store.
The suspect is described as 28-32 years old, around six feet tall, about 180 pounds, wearing a black toboggan underneath a tan-colored hooded jacket with tan cargo shorts.
No one was injured during the incident. Unfortunately, the video surveillance system was not working to capture footage of the incident.
Investigators are currently working on leads in the case.
