Investigators with the United States Marshal Service and the Chattanooga Police Department on Thursday night arrested a man Thursday wanted for a murder that occurred in Shelbyville.
Police said the incident happened in which the victim was shot multiple times happened last Friday night.
Brandon "BG" Holmes, 21, was apprehended after tips received from the Shelbyville Police Department led Chattanooga Police Department investigators to Holmes’ residence in East Chattanooga. After making contact with Holmes’ family, it was agreed that he would surrender to police.
He was transported to the Chattanooga Police Services Center where he will be interviewed by Shelbyville Police detectives and transported back to Bedford County.
Officers had been searching for Holmes since Gary LeTron Cordelle "Tron" Thomison, 23, of Shelbyville was shot at Oak Hill Village Apartments on Burt Street in Shelbyville.
Police said George "G" Simpson, 24, of Murfreesboro was also at the scene, but that the shots were fired by Holmes. Simpson was arrested Tuesday.
