Ernestine Cummings, 49, of Benton, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her residence.

She was a member of Meadow Fork Baptist Church in Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milburn Plumley and Lucille Gibson Plumley.

She is survived by her husband, Newell Cummings of Benton; children, Stephanie Pack of Benton, Senia Mashburn and husband, Jesse of Benton and Matthew Cummings and wife, Jenny of Pembroke, Ga.; grandchildren, Joshua Mashburn and Katie Mashburn; sisters, Brenda McDade, Florence Lowe and Ann Wilcox; and brother, Steve Plumley.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 1, at 2 p.m. in Meadow Fork Baptist Church in Calhoun with Reverend Ray Ingram and Reverend Ray Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow in Delano Cemetery with Gary Lowe, Tim Lowe, Jeff Morris, J. B. Cummings, Matthew Plumley, Charley Morris, and Cris Jenkins serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
