Brentwood Academy raced to a 41-14 halftime lead and defeated McCallie, 42-21, in a Division II high school football game Friday night at McCallie’s Spears Stadium.
Brentwood, coached by former McCallie coach Ralph Potter, improved to 6-3 while McCallie dropped to 4-6. Both teams have qualified for the state playoffs.
McCallie will play at Memphis Briarcrest in the state playoffs next Friday.
Daniel McClure ran for 96 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns for McCallie.
