Margaret Lee Mulkey, 88, of Dalton, Ga., died on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

Mrs. Mulkey was born April 21, 1921 in Gilmer County, Ga., a daughter of the late Marion Francis and Amanda Thomas Millsaps; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ermon Mulkey; a granddaughter, Little Teela Mulkey; a sister, Dovie Flowers; and brothers, John Millsap and Clay Millsap.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Patricia Ann Mulkey of Wildwood, Ga., Ermon, Jr. and Donna Mulkey, Berry Mulkey all of Dalton, and Tony and Carol Mulkey of LaFayette; daughters and son-in-law, Debra Mulkey and Tommy Frank of Resaca, and Anita and Ron Carter of Dalton; brothers, Roy and William Millsap both of Chatsworth; sisters, Oma Hardin, Clara Mae Dean and Roxie Chastain all of Dalton and Addie Wheeler of Ellijay, Ga.; special nieces, Brenda Williams, Gail Moss and Frances Wilson; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margaret Lee Mulkey will be held Monday, November 2, at 11 a.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend James Whitmore officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the New Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups
