Beatles Animator Highlights KZ106 Classic Rock Art Show

The KZ106 Classic Rock Art Show will be held Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 25, at Hamilton Place Mall near JC Penney’s.

The KZ106 Classic Rock Art Show is a rare collection of original art, lithographs, photographs, handwritten song lyrics, concert posters, gold records, album art, animation drawings and more from rock artists of all time.

The show is free and open to the public each day from 10 a.m.–9: p.m. and from noon–6 p.m. on Sunday All works are available to purchase.

Ron Campbell, director of the Saturday morning Beatles Cartoon series that aired on ABC from Sept. 25, 1965 through April 20, 1969 and animator on the Beatles film Yellow Submarine will make a personal appearance at the The KZ106 Classic Rock Art Show throughout the entire show. In his book, Up Periscope, Yellow Submarine Producer Al Brodax gives Ron Campbell a great deal of credit for saving the movie Yellow Submarine and tying it all together at the last minute. Mr. Campbell will have many of his original Beatles paintings on sale created specially for this show as well as give attendees a live demonstration of his painting.

In addition to his Beatles past, Mr. Campbell has been involved with some other cartoons including, Scooby Doo, George of the Jungle, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, the Smurfs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Goof Troop, Krazy Kat, Rugrats, Winnie the Pooh, Ed, Edd & Eddy and dozens more.

The KZ106 Classic Rock Art Show will also showcase a collection of works from classic artists such as Paul McCartney, Jerry Garcia, John Entwistle (The Who), Jimi Hendrix, Ron Wood (Rolling Stones), Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, David Bowie, Robby Krieger (The Doors), Jon Anderson (Yes), John Lennon, Ringo Starr, U2, Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Mellencamp, Micky Dolenz and dozens more plus rock photographs from sessions including The Eagles, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles and others. The show will also feature album cover artwork, limited edition gold records, concert tour posters, handwritten song lyrics and more.

The KZ106 Classic Rock Art Show is the largest exhibit of its kind in the world and it’s at Hamilton Place Mall for three days only.

Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months
