Paws in the Park is a pooch-packed Dog Walk to raise money for the Humane Educational Society’s Getting to Zero campaign to end euthanasia of treatable, adoptable and trainable shelter pets. The walk will be held on the Baylor School campus on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Walkers will hike along one of Baylor’s trails surrounded by woods, mossy ponds and the Tennessee River. Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs, friends and family.
There will be live music, local food, contests, agility and flyball demos by Play Dog Excellent and more.
Participants can pre-register through Active.com or register the day of the event (registration at 1 p.m.; walk to start at 2 p.m.). A limited number of "rental" dogs from the shelter are available for a rental fee of $50 to those who reserve them by contacting Cheryl Horn at hesvolunteer@comcast.net.
