The UTC men’s golf finishes up its fall slate with the Hummingbird Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley in Sapphire, N.C., Monday through Tuesday. The event, hosted by Southern Conference rival Western Carolina, is the fifth and final one on the Mocs’ fall slate.

Chattanooga is looking to improve on a seventh-place finish at the Aldila Scenic City Invitational which it co-hosted with Middle Tennessee. The 24th-ranked Mocs are looking to head into the winter months on a high note.

Sophomore Stephan Jaeger continues to lead Chattanooga averaging 72.1 strokes per round. He is ranked 34th nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin Ratings Index. He is joined in the top 100 by teammate Fredrik Qvicker who is No. 74. Qvicker has three top 20 finishes in four events and is averaging 73.1 shots per round.

For the second straight event, the Mocs are traveling all eight student-athletes. This week, however, the lineup changes slightly with redshirt freshman Simon Forsslund in the lineup for J.T. Clendenin. Clendenin joins true freshman Alex Ratliff and senior Tripp Harris playing as individuals. Derek Rende and Steven Fox join Jaeger, Qvicker and Forsslund in the team lineup.

Georgia Northwestern Falls To Crown 73-60

The Bobcats have exactly 18 days to re-shape their game plan for their first ever NJCAA post-season appearance. A shortened roster struck by injuries throughout the 2011-12 campaign left Georgia Northwestern with only seven uniformed players in the home stand finale Monday night at The R.A.C. versus Crown College (TN).  In their final home game, the Bobcats played an extremely ... Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt. Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: What 17 Pills Did To Me

Ah, step into my parlor of first-hand wisdom because, in the School of Hard Knocks, there are priceless lessons that you should know before it becomes your turn to dance.
